How To Get More Points In The Express Entry System?

Express Entry System accepts applications from eligible candidates having a required level of proficiency in age, education, experience and language skills. These credentials are considered because the prime objective of Canadian immigration authorities is to develop Canada’s economy as much as possible, so only those ones are selected who seem capable enough to positively contribute to the country’s economy.

This is why Express Entry is Canada’s biggest skilled immigration program. It is mandatory to get the required CRS score if you want to get selected for Express Entry pool. If your score is not satisfactory, we suggest you to wait for the next Express Entry draw and keep trying to increase your points by following these tips:

  • Try to advance the scores of the primary applicant by getting additional CRS points up to 150.
  • You can make your spouse primary applicant if they can get more CRS points than you.
  • Your partner must improve their first language score to obtain up to 20 additional points.
  • You can also apply for the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) to get 600 additional CRS points.
  • By having proficiency in the second official language of Canada (French), you will also get more points.
  • Earn some more work experience as per the NOC 0/A/B skill level.
  • Get an LMIA approved Job offer letter from Canada to get additional CRS score.

Since there are only a number of ITAs available to be issued through federal skilled program of Express Entry, it is wise to maximize the CRS score of your profile as soon as possible. This will enhance your chances of selection and get your Permanent Resident Visa. Note that your Express Entry Profile is valid up to 12 months. Up on expiry of your profile after this time period you can create a fresh Express Entry profile with updated credentials.
