In the recent Express Entry draw conducted on October 29, 2018, Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) issued a total of 3,900 invitations to the Express Entry applicants from the pool to apply for Canadian Permanent Residence.

The minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score in this latest draw was Comprehensive Ranking Score of 442. This is the fourth draw where the number of invitations is totalled up at 3,900. The number of invites remains constant since September 5, 2018, making the upcoming draws a little bit of predictable.

The minimum CRS score in the October 29 Express Entry draw was two score less than the current draw score of CRS 442 that is 440. In this latest draw, Immigration Refugees and Citizenship, Canada (IRCC) issued a tie-break rule like always in which the date and time used as a tie-break was October 16, 2018 at 06:09:04 UTC. This means that those candidates having a CRS score of 442 that have managed to submit their profile within the said date and time frame were invited to apply through the invitation round for Permanent Residency of Canada.

After this invitation round conducted by CIC, the number of Invitations To Apply (ITAs) issued in the year comes to a total of 74,200 as compared to 74,978 ITAs issued in the previous year 2017.

This increase is there owing to Canada’s Multi-Year levels Immigration plan (2018-2022), under which the IRCC after studying the admission target for 2017 at 71,700 new permanent residents, has established a target of 74, 900 for 2018 and for 2019 it is 81,400. This increase that been made to comply with the increase in the labour market needs of Canada.

The candidates interested to apply for Immigration through the best known pathway of Express Entry has three streams of immigrating to Canada namely The Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), The Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP) and The Canadian Experience Class (CEC).

If eligible, the candidates will be given a score under the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score system and the highest ranking applicants with maximum CRS are then invited to apply by the Canadian government through regular ITAs draw known as Express Entry Draws.
